We are pleased to invite you to our new online course, HANDS-ON TRAINING FOR MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS: IMPLICATIONS FOR CBT PRACTICE – FORMULATION AND TREATMENT to be held via Zoom, on 2nd, 9th and 23rd October 2021, from 9.00am to 5.00pm (Malaysian time, UTC+8).
Fees: USD50 per workshop / USD30 per workshop (ACBTA Members) / USD15 per workshop (Students)
Our intention is to improve the competencies of mental health professionals in providing help to their clients or patients, particularly in their understanding of how diagnostic assessments are carried out using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders – Fifth Edition (DSM-5), and how clinical formulations are developed for the treatment and management of patients using the cognitive behavioural approach.
We are targeting mental health professionals working within the clinical setting who are interested to gain familiarity with the DSM-5 as a diagnostic tool, and how clinical formulations for intervention are put together. These understanding would contribute to personal competencies in providing support to patients with mental health conditions that need treatment.
